A thermoplastic with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties.
It is resistant to thermal degradation and some varieties can be can be used at temperatures up to 483F. (250C)
PEEK is utilized in bearing, piston, pumps, valves and chromatography column applications.
PEEK is one of the few thermoplastics recommended for high vacuum applications encountered in aerospace, automotive and chemical applications.
PEEK is not recommended for use in halogenated acids, bronsted and Lewis type acids or aliphatic hydrocarbons at high temperatures.
