Engineering Facilities
At McMasters Koss, our fully staffed Engineering Department—completed in December 2023—is equipped to support everything from product development to failure analysis. We offer in-house machining, oil seal testing, environmental testing, and 3D printing to quickly evaluate and refine components. Our team can perform reverse engineering, CAD design, physical property measurement, and visual inspections to ensure optimal performance and material conformance. Whether you’re troubleshooting a non-conforming assembly or developing a new part from scratch, we’re here to help every step of the way.

Inspection Facilities
Our Inspection Facility at McMasters Koss is equipped with both manual and automated systems to ensure every product meets the highest standards of quality and conformance. From precise measurements and material validation to visual inspections and non-visual evaluations like color, shade, and feel—our experienced team is ready to support your needs. We offer durometer and specific gravity testing, tensile and elongation analysis, and even reverse engineering for rubber and thermoplastic components. Whether it’s high-volume production or custom inspection requirements, we’re here to help you get it right, every time.

Laboratory Facilities
At McMasters Koss, we’re proud to offer a full range of in-house physical testing to help our customers feel confident in every seal, material, and design. From tensile strength and durometer readings to heat aging, low-temperature brittleness, and advanced analysis tools like TGA and infrared spectrophotometry—our lab is built to support your toughest challenges. Whether you're validating a material or looking to solve a specific issue, our team is here to walk through it with you. Limited customer tours began in January 2024—we’d love to show you around!
